Diffbot – changing your bookmarks for the better

December 22nd, 2008 neil No comments
If, like me, you browse the interweb with more than one browser or different computers day to day you’ll love Diffbot. It’s a way of storing your bookmarks online from any browser then accessing them from any combination of browser/computer that you may need, subject to the ones they support of course. Currently supported though are Firefox, Internet Exporer (boo), Opera and Safari which is most of the commonly used ones.

In addition to storing your bookmarks is a cool feature that checks back with your bookmarked sites to see if they have been updated. So again, if you’re like me and check a ton of news and sport websites daily this will update you with the actual websites you need to check. Cool huh?

Not visible yet but there all the same is the TeamSport90 Community Forum. We’ll be using this as a source of information for the TeamSport90 Community as well as some other projects we have in the pipeline.

This is where the product testers can post their results and also an area for football discussion in general.

Keep your eye here on the blog for more announcements!

It’s only a scratch….

Ever had one of those really gross sporting injuries? Even better did you or one of your mates get a photo of it? If so then you could win a prize from us at TeamSport90.

Each month we’ll be giving a prize away for free to the best photo of an injury. That’s providing our panel of experts think it’s gross enough of course (yes, we’ve seen some stuff man). We’ll be publishing these in the members area of our website and please, only send your photos, not ones you took from the internet. We also won’t be accepting photo’s of broken fingernails or twisted socks, you’ll have to do better than that!

To enter the competition just register as a user (if you haven’t already) then post your photos on the TeamSport90 Injury Corner Forum and you could be in with a chance of winning. How cool is that?

Local Unsung Hero nominated

December 15th, 2008 neil No comments
One of our local clubs here in Lincolnshire has a very dedicated chairman. Brian Manson has received a nomination for the BBC Sports Unsung Hero 2008 award.

The Louth Leader had this to report;
Local footballing hero Brian Manson has been nominated for the BBC Sports Unsung Hero 2008 award. The club chairman of Theddlethorpe FC and junior football development chairman of Louth United has been nominated for his ‘unbelievable commitment’.

While Louth United had some brilliant words of support for Brian;
Brian has earned this nomination for his immense hard work and dedication over the last 4 years at Theddlethorpe FC and of course his continued hard work with Louth Utd FC in the development of junior football at Marshlands.

Even Lincoln City FC got in on the act!

Although Brian didn’t get through to the final stage of the Unsung Heroes award he can be very proud of his achievements and unwavering support for the clubs that he runs. Well done Brian!

Show some respect!
